Features
- Contributes no lubricant vapors to the vacuum chamber
- Bearings are isolated from the vacuum environment by a patented XDS bearing shield
- Versatile pump uses a scroll mechanism manufactured by BOC Edwards
- Portable and air-cooled
- Cost effective—very low power consumption
- Low vibration and noise levels make it ideal for laboratory use

- Ultimate vacuum of better than 1 Torr
- User-serviceable with the pump’s annual maintenance— takes 10 minutes without special tools

- Ultimate vacuum of 7.5 x 10-3 Torr
Applications
XDS-C
- Ideal for wet chemistry filtration and general lab applications
- 3-position gas ballast selector enables pumping in excess of 200 grams per hour of water vapor
- Used to back hybrid turbo pumps with a foreline pressure tolerance well above 1 Torr
XDS
- For roughing chambers prior to cryopumping
- For backing normal turbo and hybrid turbo pumps
- General rough pumping applications in clean (non-corrosive) conditions
