Question: If oxygen is being used as part of the process in a vacuum system, should any special precautions be taken?

Answer:

Depending upon the partial pressure of oxygen in a system, chemical reaction hazards may occur in the chamber or pumps. There may also be a chemical reaction hazard with the exhaust of the system. Please contact KJLC so the specifics can be discussed.
