Ceramic breaks are an assembly used in vacuum when componenets need to be connected mechanically and maintain vacuum integrity, but must be isolated electrically. They are typically comprised of a cylinrical ceramic with the desired inside diameter furnace brazed using ceramic to metal technology to a metalic sleeve. These sleeves or tube ends can the be brazed or welded to vacuum flanges with them will connect to the vacuum system.
