With newer cold cathodes, you can choose between a low current (around 3.5 V) or high current (around 11V) option. This is an indication of the current within the gauge during operation. High current options are for standard use where the unit is going to measure pressure in an environment in HV or better. If you are going to cycle the pressure (HV to ATM) many times and / or use copious amount of N2, then a low current option may be a better option.
