More process details would be needed to confirm but there are a few things that you can consider. You can extend the gauge slightly using an extension tube and only heated the other end of the tube. Depending on the temperature, you may also want to cool the extension tube with water or a fan. You can also choose to use a bakeable Capacitance Manometer / Baratron.
