The Elevating PowerProbe transforms conventional approaches to sample transfer which would utilize 2 separate units for linear motion and lift/lower, into one fully functional device.
Available in standard stroke lengths from 304mm to 1219mm with motorization options. The EPP is bakeable to 250°C without removing any components.
For demanding UHV applications, we recommend choosing the "XEPP" option with rolling metal & ceramic bearings for smooth, low friction actuation, with minimal outgassing.

Elevating PowerProbe
Our new design Elevating PowerProbe is a complete sample transfer solution offering up to 1219mm of linear transfer and 50mm of lift (up to 1.5Nm).

In addition to its internally-guided linear motion, the EPP has the ability to elevate its end-effector throughout its stroke, providing 12.7mm of lift as standard (with 25mm and 50mm options) in the Y axis for sample hand-off.Â
This PowerProbe variant greatly simplifies sample transfer techniques, providing a single device to provide both linear motion for sample introduction and the lift/lower motion to collect or hand-off the sample.
With a range of industry-standard effectors, the Elevating PowerProbe provides a complete sample-handling system in its own right removing the need for secondary motion tools. This reduces cost and simplifies the transfer process.

Retracted Switch Option | Manually actuated drives may be purchased with an added "retracted micro-switch" to digitally indicate when the unit is in the fully retracted position. When used in conjunction with a PLC or other type relay, this can aid in ensuring a gatevalve is not accidentally closed when the probe is in the inserted position. |
