Functional Perfluoropolyethers
Fomblin® Functional perfluoropolyethers can react with conventional polymeric materials to impart to them the specific properties of the perfluoropolyether chain. They can be active ingredients of stable water-based microemulsions commonly used as surface treatment to convey mold release and anti-sticking properties.
Structure
Fomblin® Functional PFPEs are characterized by a perfluoropolyether backbone and functional end-groups (Hydroxylic group, Urethane methacryate, TriEthoxySilane) having different molecular weights.
Performance
Fomblin® Functionals PFPEs can react with conventional polymeric materials with the aim to impart to them the specific properties of the perfluoropolyether chain such as:
- Chemical resistance
- Low surface energy
- Water and oil repellency
- Anti-sticking properties
- Low refractive index
- Boundary lubrication
