Description
Klüberalfa GR ZNF is a white, odourless long-term grease based on a perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) oil and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thickener. The extremely high viscosity index allows consistent sliding friction properties across a wide service temperature range. Additionally, the product shows an exceptionally good evaporation stability.
Klüberalfa GR ZNF shows a neutral behaviour towards most plastics and elastomers and can therefore be used for a variety of component materials.
Application
Klüberalfa GR ZNF is preferred for applications under vacuum conditions or strong temperature fluctuations. Application examples are in cleanroom equipment, semiconductor or automation technology as well as in the aerospace industry. Klüberalfa GR ZNF shows good sliding friction behaviour, performing equally well in linear guides, rolling and plain bearings and seals.
Behaviour towards elastomers and plastics:
Lubricants based on fluorinated polyether oils and polytetrafluoroethylene are generally regarded as neutral towards most elastomers and plastics (exception: perfluorinated rubber). Nevertheless we recommend testing compatibility with the material to be used, especially prior to series application.
Application Notes
For optimum lubrication results, we recommend cleaning the friction points with white spirit 180/210 followed by Klüberalfa XZ 3-1. Then blow the surfaces with clean, dry compressed air or hot air to remove solvent residues. For initial lubrication, the friction points must be clean and bright, i.e. free from oil, grease, perspiration and contamination. Klüberalfa GR ZNF is applied directly or by means of brush, spatula or lubricant dispenser. It is strongly recommend using all fluids and greases at the time of receipt, however when storage is necessary, rotate older stock into use first and observe the recommended parameters listed below.
Klüber Grease
Shelf Life of Klüber Grease is a minimum of 5 years; in this case although there won't be problems in terms of chemical stability there can be oil separation over time, which is normal.
